Set in 1990s Chicago, two first-generation teens must navigate their parallel struggles with family, school, and work while living in a dangerous world of drugs and gangs.
Lalo and Lena had a budget of $5000 financed by Northwestern’s Studio 22 Productions.
Principal photography took place in October 2024 and the film is currently in post-production.
